Formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1985. Recently back on tour and achieving huge crowds and great success with their hard rock meets heavy metal sound. Current lineup consists of Rose, Slash, McKagan, keyboardist Dizzy Reed, guitarist Richard Fortus, drummer Frank Ferrer and keyboardist Melissa Reese. Their debut, and seminal, album, Appetite For Destruction, was released in 1987, and, on the strength of three great top ten singles - "Welcome to the Jungle", "Paradise City", and "Sweet Child o' Mine" - it reached number 1 on the billboard chart. The band suffered from squabbles, line up changes, creative differences, and by 1998 only Reed and Rose remained from the original band. Their sixth album took almost a decade to complete, entitled "Chinese Democracy" it has the dubious distinction of being the most expensive rock album ever made - estimated cost fourteen million dollars. The Guns N Roses, or if you prefer GNR, Tour, entitled "Not In This Lifetime World Tour" reaches London in may and Dublin in June.
