Kasabian are a rock band in the indie (which they usually deny) , alternative, electronic rock genres. Formed in Leicester in 1997 the current line up comprises Tom Meighan – lead vocals, Chris Edwards – bass, Ian Matthews – drums, percussion. and multi instrumental Sergio Pizzorno – guitar, backing vocals, occasional lead vocals, keyboards, percussion, electronic programming. Kasabian won "Best Live Act" at the 2014 Q Awards and the 2007 and 2018 NME Awards. Six studio albums to date. Energetic live shows make Kasabian a festival favourite. The band are from leicester, UK, and maintain a strong link with the city and its football team.
