Pussycat Dolls

With record sales of over 54 million The Pussycat Dolls are one of the most popular girl groups of all time. Originally formed in 1995 as a burlesque troupe they they became a music franchise in 2003 with a line up comprising Nicole Scherzinger, Carmit Bachar, Jessica Sutta, Melody Thornton, Ashley Roberts, and Kimberly Wyatt. With a raunchy, fashionable, high power stage show and music that embraced R&B, pop, hip hop,and dance, the Pussycat Dolls became a worldwide success, but were dogged by internal conflicts. Following a "hiatus" in 2009 they ostensibly split in 2010. A reunion has been rumoured since 2017 but nothing concrete emerged, but then, in September 2019, it was reported that Nicole Scherzinger had joined former members in new studio sessions and the band would reunite for a Greatest Hits tour in 2020 with members Bachar, Roberts, Scherzinger, Sutta and Wyatt; it is still open whether Melody Thornton will complete the line up
