Black Midi (stylised as black midi) The band consists of Geordie Greep (vocals, guitar), Matt Kwasniewski-Kelvin (vocals, guitar), Cameron Picton (vocals, bass) and Morgan Simpson (drums). Described as an English experimental rock band they hail from London. Their name is derived from the Japanese music genre Black MIDI. The bands debut album Schlagenheim, was released on 21 June 2019, and was nominated for the Mercury Prize of 2019 The band are signed to the legendary Rough Trade label who released their first two singles in March and April 2019, "Crows Perch" and "Talking Heads" .
