Formed in 2008, from El Paso, Texas, founded by Greg Gonzalez. Cigarettes After Sex is an American ambient pop band The band have a dreamy, late night, ethereal style of music mixed with mostly adult themes of love, sex, and modern relationships. Cigarettes After Sex are also often categorised as shoegaze, sadcore, dream pop and slowcore. Their debut extended play (EP), I., was released in 2012, with the song "Nothing's Gonna Hurt You Baby" - which epitomises their style - eventually becoming a sleeper hit via commercial licensing.
