Formed in Minneapolis in 2011, Polica is an American synth pop band comprising Channy Leaneagh (vocals, synth), Drew Christopherson (drums), Ben Ivascu (drums), and Chris Bierden (bass), They are joined in the studio by producer Ryan Olson . Beginning in 2012 with "Give You The Ghost" the band have so far released four albums, combining their synth pop vibe with elements of indietronica, R&B, trip hop, and strains of alternative rock. Their fifth album is entitled "When We Stay Alive" and is due for release at the end of January 2020, with the band playing a string of UK dates - at some cool venues - to promote it. Their name is allegedly taken from the Polish word for policy, though that is actually spelt with an S and not a C.
